Behemoth Release New Video/Single ‘God=Dog’ New Album ‘I Loved You at Your Darkest’ Out October 05th

Extreme metal titans Behemoth have released a brand new video/single ‘God = Dog’ from their forthcoming album ‘I loved You At Their Darkest’. A European tour was also announced today so a lot happening in the world of Behemoth today.

I’ve given this track a couple of listens and it’s a real grower. It caught me off at first as it’s a departure from their latest works. I’m sure this album will be amazing anyway as Nergal is his own harshest critic and quality control within the band is extremely high!

Give it a spin here and come to your own conclusion!

Down-Tempo and Bone Crushingly HEAVY, Of Misery blend the aggression of deathcore and the emotion of hardcore in their music. Their lyrics deal with subjects such as depression, anxiety, denial, bullying, and abuse.

The Black Noose EP will see its release into the world on Friday August 10th – The record was Recorded, Mixed and Mastered by Cory Judd at Colossal Tracks Studio (She Cries Wolf, A Night in Texas, Crowned in Flesh and more).

Drummer Cai Cardenas from the band said that the release has a lot of significance for the band. “We have put our all into this release and we can’t be more ecstatic about the results. We hope that the discussion around the topics contained helps those suffering depression and mental health issues make sense of their world around them – as we know that the making of this world helped us make sense of the grief and loss of loved ones to this affliction.”

To celebrate the release of the EP, the band will take to the stage Friday August 10 in Brisbane, supporting Wreath and The Gloom in the Corner at The Morrison Hotel!

Formed in mid 2017, their original lineup consisted of Charley Watson on vocals, Bart Tyson and Andy Barker on guitars, Julian Lang on bass and Cai Cardenas on Drums. After a few months of writing they released their debut single “Immortal” in October 2017. In June of 2018 Andy Barker left the band to pursue other interests and was soon replaced by Dan McLuckie.

zhOra Release New Music Video ‘Ruthless Bastards’ Ahead Of ‘Covered In Entrails’ UK Tour

Irish hell breathers zhOra have released a music video for a new song titled “Ruthless Bastards”. The release of the track coincides with the start of the band’s “Covered in Entrails” UK Tour.

Vocalist Colin Bolger talks about the release and tour:

“We wrote the song “Ruthless Bastards” to show our love and appreciation for all the different styles of metal that inspire us and help us make zhOra sound the way it does. You’ll find hints of Death, Voivod, Cattle Decapitation, Pantera, Baroness and a few others. At five and a half minutes, the song goes through quite a few twists and turns and is by far the most representative of our current direction. One of Ireland’s most experienced and esteemed metal producers Mick Richards(Traxmix Studios) captured everything perfectly and we cannot sing his praises enough. We felt the song really called for a classic band performance video as it was written in the jam room and recorded not long after. Conor Dockery(Red Enemy, The Scratch) took the helm and he really captured the energy we conjure up when playing live. We’ve been working on new material for about a year now and we will enter the studio in September to record the follow up to “Ethos, pathos, Logos” with Aidan Cunningham(Murdock). Beforehand we will play some shows throughout the UK for our “Covered in Entrails” Tour. Sludge train is a’coming!”

This tracks follows on from their previously released track ‘A Gaze Indifferent To Your Suffering’ (which we shall post below), and really gives a better idea of how experimental and original this album is going to be. PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS: Release One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest Inspired ‘Choosing Mental Illness’ Video Starring Michael St. Michaels

PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS are pleased to unveil the official new video for “Choosing Mental Illness” from their Choosing Mental Illness As A Virtue full-length released earlier this year via Anselmo’s own Housecore Records. Directed by Katherine Richardson-Anselmo with director of photography Mike Holderbeast and starring Michael St. Michaels (The Greasy Strangler), the six-plus-minute clip pays tribute to Milos Forman’s 1975 drama, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest.

Issues Anselmo, “This video is based on one of my favorite films about the harshness of mental illness. Being up close and personal with the struggle, I often feel like R. P. McMurphy, who I play in the clip.

“I’ve had a lot of questions about the LP title, Choosing Mental Illness As A Virtue and song title, ‘Choosing Mental Illness,'” he continues, “but make no mistake, I take mental illness very seriously, especially because it often goes untreated. We’ve taken some extra steps at the end of the video with information that you, or someone close to you might need.

“On a lighter note, it’s always a blast to do creative things like the video with my band, crew, and family. Bringing Michael St. Michaels into the fold was like having your favorite wacky uncle over for the holidays! He did a great job as our version of Nurse Ratched and he’s an absolutely lovable and talented guy…go see The Greasy Strangler!

The video includes a slate of information from Crisis Text Line. The non-profit organization provides free, 24/7, confidential crisis support. Text HOME to 741741 anywhere in the United State to be connected with a trained Crisis Counselor now. You can also learn more here at

Information on the Suicide Prevention Lifeline is also included immediately following the video. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the United States and includes options in Spanish, and for the deaf and hard of hearing. Dial 1-800-273-8255 to speak with someone now.

Following a successful maiden touring cycle for THE ILLEGALS, Anselmo hunkered down at his home studio in Louisiana to record what would become Choosing Mental Illness As A Virtue in 2014 and 2015. The lineup shifted as Stephen Taylor (Superjoint) transitioned from bass to guitar, Mike DeLeon (Flesh Horder, Being Killed, ex-MOD et al) joined as a guitarist, and Walter Howard (Grieved, Oppressive Force, Vaginal Bear Trap) took over bass duties. Meanwhile, Jose Manuel “Blue” Gonzalez (Superjoint, Warbeast) held down the drums. Through rigorous rehearsals and writing sessions, a framework for the new music took shape.

Called, “fifty minutes of gnarly, vicious extreme metal…,” by Revolver Magazine, “an ever-shifting fusillade of extreme groove prog…,” by Decibel Magazine, “a schizophrenic musical expression that’s as insane as it is enjoyable,” by Blabbermouth and, “unquestionably one of the angriest and heaviest albums of Anselmo’s career,” by Exclaim!, the critically-lauded offering is extreme, abrasive, aggressive, and anthemic. In other words, it’s purely Anselmo.

Choosing Mental Illness As A Virtue is out now on CD, vinyl, and digital formats in North America via Housecore Records. Order bundles are currently available via the Housecore Store at THIS LOCATION. For digital orders, go HERE.
