Antidotes Announce New Line Up

Dublin based Antidotes formed in 2014 by mutual friends with the idea of playing their own unique form of Metalcore. They’ve never had an easy ride with this band but it was looking like they had reached their conclusion this year.

As that old saying goes, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. It will probably leave severe anxiety issues, manic depression and an overall sense of self loathing, but it if it doesn’t kill you…

They recently released this statement.

“As some of you may or may not know…

A few months ago Stephen Cannon, longtime vocalist and rhythm guitarist of Antidotes for over 4 years, made the decision to part ways with the band. This has been the reason for our radio silence in the last few months and the biggest hurdle we have ever had to face. We made the decision to stay quiet and try to figure out, what is the best direction for us to take?

After a long process and constant discussion, we decided to recruit Dean Donnelly, former vocalist of Call To Arms, and long time friend of the band, Cormac Tunstead, to fill both positions of vocalist and guitarist.

From the bottom of our hearts we would like to thank Stephen Cannon for his undying passion and his vision that molded this band into what we are today. To say his contribution in this band was huge, would be an understatement. but we must move on.

This is the new Antidotes.”

We wish the new Antidotes well and hope 2019 is the year all goes their way and they take it to the next level. I think these lads deserve a bit of luck at this point!

This track is with their previous line up, but it gives you an idea of what they sound like if you’re not familiar with the band.
