Bloodstock Festival New Blood Stage Feature Part 1

MTTM

In this feature I shall be covering five bands that are set to perform on the New Blood stage at Bloodstock Festival 2016. All gained their spot by winning a particular Metal To The Masses Competition.
The bios shall be very brief, but this is all about checking out each bands music. That’s what will decide if you wish to possibly check them out at the festival itself this August. You may not have heard of a lot of these bands, but wasn’t Mastodon etc a band you never heard of at one point!
Enough talk, lets get down to business!

Famyne

Famyne

Canterbury based Famyne play psychedelic doom that is full of sludge-laden riffs and haunting vocals. Frontman Tom Vane also has a very powerful range.
Check out “The Forgotten” here!

Husk

HUSK

West Midlands based Husk are very hard to describe. There’s elements of Black Metal, Prog, Death, Groove. There’s just so much going on here. It doesn’t sound like it would work on paper, but it really does!
Check out “Plague Of Man” here!

Art Of Deception

Art Of Deception

Art Of Deception hail from Norway. They play crunching melodic death metal. Full of duelling guitars, riffs and solos. This band are really really good!
Check out “Killing” here!

The Crawling

The Crawling

Lisburn based The Crawling play slow death metal that is very much in the vein of early Paradise Lost. Full of chugging riffs and all that goodness!
Check out “End Of Rope” here!

Ten Ton Slug

Ten Ton Slug

Galway based Ten Ton Slug play their own unique band of sludge groove metal with added gutteral/scream vocals.
Check out “Godes Andsaca” here!

That’s the first five bands covered in this line of features. I strongly suggest checking all the bands out and following our features. Five bands at a time, and who knows? You could find your new favourite band!
