23/19 Drop Huge New Single/Video ‘Thousand Eyes (Restrict)’

There is something in the water in Adelaide that creates excellent heavy music. Among the absolute dearth of heavy music that comes from Adelaide comes 23/19.

Today, 23/19 return to the fray with what is easily their heaviest and best song to date, ‘Thousand Eyes (Restrict)’. Produced by Scottie Simpson (Alpha Wolf, BLKLST) and mixed by Lance Prenc (Gravemind, Honest Crooks, Alpha Wolf), it also comes with a harsh and kinetic videoclip filmed, edited and directed by Colin Jeffs (Hammers, Boris The Blade, BLKLST). Vocalist for 23/19, Nathan Stuckey, said that “Thousand Eyes (Restrict) is about online bullying and how its effects can affect people’s actions in their everyday life.”

‘Thousand Eyes (Restrict)’ will be released on iTunes/Spotify/Apple Music & all good online outlets this Friday October 12. It’s the first track of a twin set of singles that comprise their release ‘Two More Reasons to Hate Us’ – which will be available Friday November 16 – just in time for their ‘Two More Reasons to Hate’ tour alongside fellow Adelaide-ians, Mauvais, which sees them kicking off in their hometown at Enigma Bar, then heading to Ballarat at Karova Lounge, Melbourne at Bendigo Hotel, Sydney All Ages at Chatswood Youth, Central Coast AA at ECP Studios and then finishing up at Brisbane’s home of heavy, Crowbar.

This is a band who have seriously cut their teeth smashing out shows alongside some of the best hardcore in Australia and the world, including internationals Stray from The Path & Counterpartsand The Acacia Strain & Kublai Khan and The Plot in You, as well as Australian acts such as Polaris, Make Them Suffer, Pridelands, Windwaker, Iconoclast, Gravemind, I, Valiance, Dregg, Alpha Wolf, A Night in Texas and more.

(Oh, and for those not in the know, the name 23/19 comes from the movie Monsters Inc., where an emergency code is called for a White Sock Alert – the letters W & S being the 23rd and 19th letters in the alphabet, respectively!)

23/19’s ‘Thousand Eyes (Restrict)’ sees its release this Friday October 12 on all good online outlets and tickets for their November “Two More Reasons To Hate” tour will be on sale Friday October 12 as well, with information at facebook.com/2319music

Lifeblood Drop New Single ‘Oscillate’ & ‘The Air In My Lungs’ EP Out October 12th

Lifeblood are about to put the air into your lungs with their new EP – which is set for released on Friday October 12. They released first single from the EP ‘Expand’ in August to a fervent reception – and today they are dropping new cut from the record, “Oscillate”.

The chaotic hardcore band from Brisbane, Australia are more than excited about releasing this new music. Vocalist for the outfit, Dylan Clark, said that “We absolutely couldn’t be more stoked with the way things are going with this new release – we are proud of the sound we created – it’s exactly how we imagined it – Troy Brady and Scottie Simpson did an amazing job of bringing the mood and sound of our tracks to reality.”

Clark went on to say that this new single Oscillate “…is about remaining calm and collected while the world becomes more and more insane as the years go by. In 2018 it can be quite hard to switch off from world events and clickbait articles but life will always be better when you focus on you and your passions over the lowest common denominator gossip and trash.”

Previous single ‘Expand’ was spun on triple j’s Short Fast Loud and then added to high rotation to 24/7 metal/heavy station The Faction and the video premiered online at killyourstereo, as well as featured on Maniacs.

Formed in 2015 through a shared love for bands such as The Chariot, Norma Jean and Every Time I Die, the band quickly recorded and released their demo ‘Send Me Far Away’ and began subjecting audiences across the east coast of Australia to their particular brand of abrasive music. They have shared the stage withbands such as She Cries Wolf, Deadlights, Apate, Underminer, Wraith, The Gloom In The Corner andVitals.

“The Air In My Lungs” EP was recorded and mixed by Troy Brady (ex-The Amity Affliction) and mastered by Scott Simpson (Alpha Wolf) – and the record meets perfectly in the middle – immaculate production with fierce attack. Abrasive and dissonant tones, atmospheric and ambient textures, lyrical content of a depressing nature and inner turmoil.

Lifeblood’s new EP “The Air In My Lungs” will be released on Friday October 12 at all good online stores and streaming outlets.

Crossfire Release New Single ‘Who Goes There?’

Dublin based Thrasher Crossfire have released a brand new single ‘Who Goes There?’. Which was recorded in Symmetry Industry Studios.

Another step forward for this band in their development and possibly their best track to date.

They released this statement.

‘Who Goes There?’ is OUT NOW on all major digital streaming services!

Give it a listen, like and share! Massive thank you once again to Gavin Doyle from Symmetry Industry Studios for recording, mixing and producing artwork for the track!

Listen to the song here, or through any of the links below:

Crossfire were originally formed by schoolmates and guitarists Kevin O’Connor-Conroy and Adam Treacy. Joined soon after by bassist Conor Jordan and drummer DaleLimpin, the four men quickly began gigging around Dublin. Dale Limpin would be soon replaced by Dan O’Connor, but the band continued to gig, establishing a reputation as one of Ireland’s best young thrash metal bands.

This reputation would lead to them supporting some of the country’s best metal bands, one highlight being when they were chosen by EHT Promotions to open for thrash icons GAMA Bomb in Fibber Magees in 2014.

Following personal and professional conflict within the band, Adam Tracey would leave the band in the summer of 2014. He was soon replaced by good friend and longtime Axial Symmetry guitarist Matt O’Brien.

Following this lineup change, the band’s momentum would continue to grow with faster, more progressive songs and bigger and better concerts. The band have played across the country, in cities such as Belfast, Cork and Galway. The band have also notably played the Siege of Limerick twice in 2014 and 2016, and played gigs alongside metal legends such as ex-Judas Priest vocalist Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens and ex-Testament guitarist Steve Smyth.

The band are known mostly for their classic old-school thrash metal sound and attitude blended with intense screamed vocals, progressive solo and bridge sections as well and lyrics ranging from light-hearted takes on drinking and partying to more profound imagery of war, horror and violence.

The band released their debut Ep titled “Bound In Skin” online on the 9th of March 2018.
