Subsist Release New Song “Psycho”.

Subsist Release New Song “Psycho”

Carlow based “Subsist” have just dropped a new single “Psycho” from their forthcoming EP.  The track features guest vocals from Patrick Scanlon of “Heel Of Achilles” and is real statement of intent on what the band have coming next! I was highly impressed by their previous track “The Night After” but this far exceeds that, and really makes them an interesting proposition and without doubt one to watch with absolute certainty.

The band have started to mature and finding their own sound. There’s some great riffs and leads in here, solid Bass playing with some great drumming backing it all up. Vocalist Daniel has really stepped up his game here in regards to vocal delivery, and the band have some fantastic dynamics. Shifting through the gears effortlessly and the track finishes with a good solo.

I’ll be keep a firm eye on this bands progress from here on in. I saw potential, and this band are really living up to what I thought they had in them. They are really on the right track here!

Check out “Psycho” here!

The Devil Wants Her Swagger Back Release New Video “Casualties”

Dublin based The Devil Wants Her Swagger Back have just dropped their new video “Casualties” and getting ready to release the first part of a double EP, with the first part; ‘Malice’ being released on October 1st 2016. We were sent on their EP to review and it’s excellent. I’ll be giving it a great review in the run up to the release…

The band exploded onto the Irish metal scene in 2014 with a shared love of fast, stompy, aggressive music. Wanting to bring energy and violence to the Irish metal scene with their frantic live shows.

As some one who has followed the band closely throughout that time, every single release from this band has bettered their previous. They are getting better and better all the time. Their new material follows that trend, and this is without doubt their best material to date.

‘Malice’ is their most focused, aggressive, and truest representation of themselves yet.

Check out “Casualties” here. It’s a brilliant track!

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Michael Richards at Trackmix Studios in Blanchardstown, Dublin. Casualties is now
available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all popular streaming services.

The Devil Wants Her Swagger Back are:

Stephen Cannon – Vocals
Mick Hynes – Guitar
Ryan Cummins – Drums
Dylan Scully – Bass

Jenova Release Debut Single “Nail The Eye”

Dublin based Death Metal monsters Jenova have dropped their first single “Nail The Eye”. While the song itself has been online for a while in a live format. It is now in full studio quality and sounding amazing!

The lads have been building their name the old fashioned way over the past year by putting on a vicious live show and turning heads as they go. They reached the Bloodstock Metal To The Masses Semi Final at their first attempt and confirmed for the next Siege Of Limerick. Quite the achievement considering this is their first studio release!

Considering this is their first release, one can only imagine the quality coming from this band in the future. These lads are really onto something here!

Check out “Nail The Eye” here!

The song can be downloaded here via Soundcloud for free so get this in your collection!

To celebrate Road to Wacken Tour zhOra release drum playthrough for new
track, “The Breach”

Before zhOra hit the road to play Wacken Open Air in Germany on August 4th they have decided to release a drum playthrough video for new song “The Breach”.

The song will appear on their upcoming second full length “Ethos, Pathos, Logos”. It was shot and directed by *Marek Matkiewicz* of Black Lava Video Production. The drums were recorded August of last year in the Abbey Mill in Fethard by Ciaran Culhane and Dave O’ Brien.

“Ethos, Pathos, Logos” is a follow up to 2013’s standout debut album“Almaz” and third overall after 2012’s EP “Feet Nailed to the Ground”.

In the only predictable aspect of the band’s sonic trajectory, “Ethos, Pathos, Logos” finds the band once again putting themselves under their own microscope and refining their approach. Not content with going through another aural metamorphosis, “Ethos, Pathos, Logos” is the band’s first back-to-front concept album with a lush cover designed by renowned Visionary Artist Jake Kobrin.

A sprawling tale of a bloodthirsty despot, his feral minions, alien visitation and the illusion of choice. Set to the backdrop of frozen tundras, scorching deserts and panoptical imprisonment, “Ethos, Pathos, Logos” speaks to the hypocrite in all of us and shifts the gaze inward. Anhour long retrospective through past lives, cannibalism and ritual sacrifice, this album is sure to draw comparisons to *Mastodon’s “Crack the Skye”, Tool’s “Lateralus” and the eternal Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” while standing proudly standing on its own, a firm and steadfast
entry into the Prog movement pantheon.

“Ethos, Pathos, Logos” will be released Autumn 2016.
